How to play Snook

This bit is only relevant to the SGE and should be ignored in case we forget to delete it after the SGE ends.

If you registered for the SGE in one of the Registrations forms:

1. Open this file: https://bit.ly/SGE-Winners​
2. In it is a list of addresses
3. Use ctrl+F to search for the address you provided in the form
4. If you cannot find it means that you did not get one of the ~14K spots.
5. That’s ok, you can still play.
6. You’ll need to get $SNK — each new Snook-NFT costs $0.25 USDC [paid with $SNK]

Before you play

Make sure you have:

1. A few bucks worth of MATIC in your wallet.
2. Enough $SNK to quench your gaming thirst.

You are now ready to play

Go to app.playsnook.com​

You’ll see this:

And then this:

• After a few seconds, you’ll see the Tutorials
• You can either skip or go through them.
• If this is your first time you should probably read them.

• Congratulations — you’ve made it to your Lair.
• The first thing is to connect your wallet:

• Let’s review how to do that with Metamask — click on :

• It should open the Metamask pop-up window
• If it doesn't, click the Fox

• Log in to your account (if you haven’t already)

• Wait for it… :)

• Once you are in you should get several notifications.
• For example, a notification that you were moved to the Polygon network.
• Please confirm.
• You may also be prompted to add $SNK — this is not a deposit — only a token type.
• Please do that and confirm.
• The first time you do this your balance should be zero.
• It will also ask you to add Snook NFT (as an asset type).
• This too is not a deposit.
• Please confirm.
• If you were among the lucky ones to get 5 free snooks, they should appear.
• If they do not, make sure you connected the right wallet.
• After you completed these Wallet tasks, you should be back in your Lair.

• Look to the right, if you have snooks, they will appear there.
• If they do not — click on “BUY”

Now, let’s freakin’ play already:

• Select the snook you want to play with (by clicking it, yeah?)
• On the left you are asked to name it — please do.

• Click “START GAME”.

This will trigger a blockchain transaction:

• The Metamask popup should appear.
• If it doesn’t click the fox at the top right.
• Confirm the transaction.
• A dialog box saying “processing” appears. Wait.

You should see the game map now. You are not yet on it. Snook is taking a few seconds to position you.

Once you see your snook you can start playing. You will have a few seconds of grace, in which you cannot die, for you to find your bearings.
